Registered Nurse – Community Ad Hoc

Location: Long Ashton, Bristol

We've a fantastic opportunity for a registered nurse to join our Community Ad Hoc team in Long Ashton. You will support our Placement Team by being the first point of contact for clinical queries, including checking care plans, ensuring service user files are up to date and making decisions over agency nurse’s suitability for placement in packages of care. Additionally, you will be part of a team that provides sponsors and clinical research sites with experienced research nurses to assist with clinical trials. Our nursing teams are carefully selected, trained and managed for each individual study, providing support in a consistent and professional way, focused on delivering the needs of the trail sponsor while integrating smoothly into the site teams.

You will oversee each individual project from start to finish, this will include:

  • Taking the initial requisition from the project manager.
  • Undergo training on the specific project ensuring that you have a full in depth understanding of all factors included.
  • Liaising with the project manager regarding FTE and geographical requirements.
  • Using our internal nurse database to source the best candidates ensuring that each individual has all necessary skills and expertise for the specific project.
  • Advise, train and place each nurse into specific shifts/placements in accordance with project policies and guidelines.

Other duties may include:

  • Working with the recruitment team sourcing and processing candidates
  • Being the single point of contact for clients and nurses
  • Provide telephone guidance and support to field staff working in placements
  • Responding to telephone enquiries from clients and field staff
  • Liaising with nurses to establish their availability and requirements
  • Updating the 'in house' system to reflect availability
  • Liaising with clients and taking shift details
  • Filling shifts with available nurses and healthcare assistants
  • Working in a small team, utilising your nursing knowledge and experience to support your colleagues
  • Provide accurate and timely information to Senior Management on overall project performance
  • Preparing and managing care plans
  • Responding to alerts
  • Responding to regulatory queries

This is an opportunity for a Registered General Nurse who has ideally worked previously in a community nursing role, to move away from a clinical environment but still play a part in providing high quality nursing care. The role will be based in our Long Ashton office. The role will involve working alongside a Senior Nursing Colleague with alternate weekends. Hours could be 4 x 10 hour shifts, or possibly 4, 8 hour shifts. All successful applicants will receive training in order to prepare you for the role.
