RECOVERY NURSE REQUIRED
Independent Clinical Services;
We are recruiting on behalf of one of its key clients for the following post;
Registered Nurse, Recovery.
You will be required to conduct basic theatre duties as allocated by the Unit Manager or the Senior Nurse on Duty to meet the standards required by the Company in providing a high quality service to patients
The successful applicant will need to be;
·NMC Registered Nurse Part 1, plus Theatre qualification. An ODP certificate would be desirable.
·Have proven experience in a recovery area of at least 12 months post-qualification
·At least 2 years post-basic experience
And be experienced in the following;
·Experience of extubation and resuscitation of patients
·Ability to solve problems/ think literally/laterally
·Knowledge of Infection control policy and procedures
·Up to date sound clinical knowledge
·Anaesthetics, sedatives, muscle relaxants, analgesics and emergency drugs
·Spinal, epidural and general anaesthetics
·Competent in IV therapies
·Competent in Catheterisation
·Good verbal / written communication skills
·Awareness of legislative requirements with regard to H & S
You will need to be able to work within a team, work well and stays calm under pressure. Be conscientious and have a strong concern for excellence.
Be flexible and adaptable.
