In line with our commitment to delivering the highest standards of professionalism and conduct, Thornbury expects every nurse to maintain appropriate standards of dress and appearance whilst working at client premises. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.

The relevant uniform as indicated below should be worn in full for all duties in hospitals, nursing homes and industries unless otherwise specified:-
  Uniform requirements
  Footwear: Black, Brown or white duty shoes
  Minimal make-up and jewellery to be worn
  Female:-
- Plain white short sleeve dress OR plain white tunic
- Belt: RN - Royal Blue, EN - Green, Auxiliary - Burgundy
- Trousers: RN - Royal Blue, EN - Green, Auxiliary - Burgundy
  Male:-
- Plain white tunic
- Trousers: Black or Grey
  Paediatric nurses (only if advised):-
  Polo shirt: RN - Royal Blue, EN - Sherwood Green, AUX - Burgundy
Please also remember that you must display your identity badge at all times. Trained staff should always carry their NMC (UKCC) pin card. In certain circumstances a client may request that nurses dress otherwise for specific assignments. However, identity badges must still be worn and clearly visible.

Nurses are responsible for the purchase of the uniforms themselves. However, we have negotiated a useful discount with our preferred manufacturer, Alexandra. Please contact us on 0845 120 5252 for further information.
